Nikhil Krinto AK developed a strong interest in cars and speed from a young age. In 2025, he came across a reel about Vision4Motorsport’s SIAL selection round and decided to explore more about the championship. With encouragement from his parents, he registered for the selection and successfully got selected.
During rally school, he experienced driving a rally car for the first time in heavy rain and slushy conditions, which made the experience both challenging and exciting. However, he was initially informed that he could not participate in the championship due to age restrictions for the license. Instead of giving up, his parents searched for solutions and realized his 15th birthday was only two weeks away. With the support of the organizers, he skipped the first round and joined the championship from the second round.
The 2nd and 3rd rounds were his first racing experiences where he learned a lot and also became part of the SIAL racing family. His breakthrough came during the 4th and 5th rounds in Madurai where he achieved his first podium finishes, which boosted his confidence and motivation.
In the 7th round at Kottayam, an aggressive approach resulted in penalties that pushed him to the last position. Learning from that experience, he changed his mindset in the next round and focused on completing the race without penalties. This strategy helped him climb from last place to finish first, becoming one of his biggest learning moments.
In the final rounds, he drove with good pace but narrowly missed the podium in the last race by microseconds. Despite that, the final race was a memorable experience and reflected how much he had grown during the season.
Overall, his SIAL journey was filled with learning, friendship, support, and personal growth, and it marked the beginning of his motorsport career.
