“ “A lot can be said, but one thing worth remembering is that anything which brings real progress often feels easy at the beginning. Living through those early moments without pushing too hard too soon gives better returns in the long run.
Climbing the ladder in sports is always more exciting, because once you reach the peak, it can feel lonely there.” — Ashwin
Ashwin has always been interested in motorsports and any sport that pushes the limits of the human body. His passion for competition extends beyond racing, as he has also competed in strength sports, winning the National Amateur Strongman Championship in the 93 kg category.
His curiosity about improving race pace and understanding the right approach to speed led him to participate in the South Indian Autocross League (SIAL). The single-make dirt autocross format gave him a unique opportunity to develop his driving skills and better understand racing dynamics.
Like many motorsport journeys, Ashwin’s path also included difficult moments. During the previous rally season, several factors outside his control negatively affected his results. At the same time, transitioning from one sport at a high level due to injury and starting fresh in another brought its own uncertainty. Crashing his own car during a small event also became a challenging setback.
However, past failures and experiences helped him recover stronger each time. Overcoming these moments built resilience and strengthened his determination to continue improving as a driver.
Today, Ashwin feels more confident in his abilities and is motivated to dedicate more time to motorsports, aiming to compete at an even higher level of performance in the future.
